How do you create a coaching culture and how do you know when you've got one?

Let's face it. All organisations want to be successful. When you compare your organisation to others and wonder, "What are they doing that's giving them the edge?" you can pretty much guarantee that coaching is part of the answer.

Ignore a coaching style of leadership and you'll end up solving problems on your staff's behalf, answering endless repetitive queries, doing their work for them, and getting frustrated at the lack of quality, ownership and initiative shown by people. And, think about it, how does that make YOU feel, never mind THEM?

On the positive side, many people employ some elements of a coaching style naturally, and building on this can have a HUGE impact throughout your organisation on PEOPLE, and on RESULTS.

So, what do we mean by a coaching culture? It's one where the whole philosophy behind the management style and the way people work together is guided by a culture of coaching, with benefits for both the people and the organisation. It's where managers believe in people's ability to think for themselves, learn, solve problems, take responsibility and achieve results. According to Graham Alexander, the creator of the highly regarded GROW Model of coaching, the benefit of coaching is that it "achieves measurable and sustainable performance improvement aligned with explicit business needs beyond what the individual thought was possible for themselves".

What sets us apart from the competition is that most coaching companies focus on selling one-to-one coaching sessions for managers. We don't. We help you equip all of your managers with the knowledge, skills, attitude, understanding and confidence to use a coaching style in their everyday interactions with others. We do this through our renowned 2-day coaching workshops.

To date, we have trained over 500 managers, many from Local Authorities, in our coaching methodology and we have a wealth of highly complimentary testimonials.

Recently, we beat 86 competitors convincingly to win our latest public sector coaching contract. One attribute that differentiates us is that my handpicked associates and I all hold formal coaching qualifications from the same organisation, meaning that you receive a consistent approach and depth of knowledge that underpins our clear delivery.

"Many organisations invest substantially in Coaching Programmes that don't pay off because 6 simple steps are overlooked"
